Whitepaper — When Growth Exposes the Cracks Read report

Most ERP projects fail on time, not on features.

Every serious ERP has an inventory module. Very few can be live and trusted inside six weeks with your data in it, integrated with QuickBooks Online and your team using it. That gap is the entire reason ChannelSnap exists.

Time to go live Typical timelines

Weeks, not quarters Implemented in-house
  • Building since 2016

Built alongside distributors and beverage agents, not in a lab.

  • Implemented in-house

The team that builds the product runs your deployment.

  • QuickBooks Online native

Two-way integration rather than a replacement project.

What actually decides it.

Not the feature grid. These are the six things that determine whether an ERP becomes the system of record or another window nobody opens.

  • Weeks, not quarters

A fixed four-to-six week implementation shape. Duration is the biggest single predictor of ERP failure, so we removed it as a variable.

  • Built by the people who implement it

No reseller layer. The consultant configuring your system can get a product change made, because they work with the team that writes it.

  • Deep where product businesses live

Landed cost, allocations, lots, bins, routes, consignment. The unglamorous mechanics that generic ERP treats as an afterthought.

  • Keeps what already works

QuickBooks Online, Shopify and Squarespace stay. We integrate properly instead of asking you to replace tools your team already knows.

  • Priced to be affordable at your size

Feature-rich without enterprise licensing. You should not need a $400k budget to know your inventory position.

  • Answerable to one team

Software, integration, data migration, training and support from a single accountable group. Nobody to point at.

The honest comparison

Three ways to run a product business.

Enterprise ERP is not wrong; it is built for a different size of problem. Spreadsheets are not wrong either, until the day they are.

Generalisations, deliberately. Bring your specifics to a call and we will tell you which column you belong in, including when it is not ours.

Live in four to six weeks, not four to six quarters.

Most ERP projects fail on duration, not features. Ours are run by the people who build the product, with a fixed shape and a defined end.

How our services work
  1. Week 1

    Scope and data

We map your items, customers, suppliers, pricing and open transactions, and agree what comes across and what gets retired.

  2. Week 2

    Configure

Locations, costing, workflows, permissions, price lists and document templates configured to how you actually trade.

  3. Week 3

    Migrate and integrate

Historical data loaded, QuickBooks Online and your storefront connected, balances reconciled against your existing system.

  4. Week 4

    Train on real work

Your team runs live transactions in a parallel environment. Training on your data, not a demo company.

  5. Weeks 5–6

    Go live and settle

Cutover, hypercare, and the tuning that only surfaces once real volume flows through the system.

Compare with the 6–12 month average for mid-market ERP deployments.

Fit questions,
answered plainly.

How big does a business need to be for ChannelSnap?

Most customers sit between roughly $1M and $150M in revenue with real inventory complexity. Below that, entry-level tools are usually enough. Above it, you may genuinely need a tier-one ERP, and we will say so.

What happens if we outgrow ChannelSnap?

Your data is yours and fully exportable through the API and standard extracts, including history. We would rather tell you the truth about fit than hold a customer in place with an export barrier.

Who owns our data?

You do. It is held in managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access and automated backup, and it can be extracted in full at any time.

Do you offer a trial?

Not a self-serve trial, because an ERP with none of your data in it proves nothing. What we do instead is a working demo against a sample of your own items and orders, which answers the fit question far more honestly.

Book a demo

See it run against your own numbers.

A working session, not a slide deck. Bring your item list, your channels and the report you cannot produce today — we will show you where each of them lives in ChannelSnap.
